What's the last thing you wrote?
An interesting fight scene with some of my characters, it's actually kinda funny, the way they're talking while this massive battle is going on LOL
Was it any good?
Again, see above post.
What's the first thing you wrote that you still have?
The very first thing I EVER wrote that I can remember, was a story about a talking horse. My mom probably has it, but the FIRST thing I have that I consider real writing, I do still have. I have a big old box of writing stuff that me Stense and Amanda used to write.
Write poetry?
Oh not if I can help it. I don't like writing poetry and I only ever did it because I had to in high school.
Angsty poetry?
Like I said, I only ever did it because I had to write it in high school and the only "poetry" I can recall off hand, is a very short thing I wrote about a wolf. My writing class voted it the best.
Favourite genre of writing?
Paranormal/fanfic
Most fun character you've ever created?
Ouuu…that's a hard one to say… I love Phoenix, she's a lot of fun, but honestly the first one that came to mind was Rafe… I love that guy, he's sooo much fun, got to love British werewolves LOL
Most annoying character you've ever created?
Annoying? I don't know if any of my characters are annoying, the one that gives me most problems is Gregor… but we wont get into that, I'm sure if you asked Cheska though she'd say Rainbow is the most annoying…
Best plot you've ever created?
I have a few I'm really proud, one of them is an X-Men plot I wont talk about because I want to actually write it someday, another is a Witchblade story that everyone on Fanfic is crazy about and there are a few others that I know I'm proud of but can't quite remember at the moment…
Coolest plot twist you've ever created?
Don't think I've written it yet.
How often do you get writer's block?
Waaaay too often these last five years, it makes me cry a little inside
Write fan fiction?
It's really the only thing I wrote for a very long time. Still write it too!
Do you type or write by hand?
Both but I find that I write better and much faster by typing. I hardly ever write anything by hand anymore.
Do you save everything you write?
I suppose I do, but I don't really do much with it, it just clutters my box and computer, lol.
Do you ever go back to an idea after you've abandoned it?
All the time, but I'm lazy so I write on it for a bit then move on to something else, then do the same to it.
What's your favorite thing you've written?
My favorite? That's hard to say, first thing that sprang to mind was the massive Witchblade fanfic I wrote years ago and still need to finish, I really liked that one. And I have a few X-Men fics I really like. Don't know what my favorite one is though. And of course anything I write with Alan is always awesome.
What's everyone else's favorite story that you've written?
'In Unguarded Moments' the Witchblade fan fic I keep talking about, everyone loves it, I still get comments and faves on it from time to time and it's years old.
Do you ever show people your work?
All the time.
Did you ever write a novel?
I am in the process of trying to do so at the moment, but who knows if it'll ever get done…
Ever written romance or angsty teen drama?
Romance and angst, yes, teen drama? Perhaps Parish's little blurb about her contemplating suicide on a bridge could be considered teen angst…Though she's not really a teen anymore and I don't even think I said if she was a teen in the short story I wrote with her.
What's your favorite setting for your characters?
Don't really have a favorite setting. I like putting them in different situations and seeing what they do and I've chosen places all over the world, but geographically speaking it would have to be Ireland hands down.
How many writing projects are you working on right now?
Well, honestly it should be only the book I'm trying to write, but I'm kind of all over the place and not really writing anything in particular.
Do you want to write for a living?
Yes.
Have you ever won an award for your writing?
No, but like I have said, in high school my writing was usually voted the best by my class, those rare times I ever decided to actually go to class… LOL
Ever written anything in script or play format?
I have not, but I would not mind writing for a t.v show, too bad all the shows I'd write for are off the air or about to be… I adore writing for Alan Shore and Dean Winchester.
What are your five favorite words?
I don't know, I have never thought about it before. Unadulterated is fun, gadoosh, even though it's not really a word, rouge, gambit, heh, yes I know they're names, but I do like them as words as well, evanescence and wraith
Do you ever write based on yourself?
A lot of what I write is based on something of myself, easiest thing to write about is what you know firsthand.
What character have you created that is most like yourself?
Lexi and Cairo as the most like me out of all of my characters. Lexi is the version of me that I wish I could be like and that includes both good and bad and Cairo is basically me, only a touch insane and violent.
Where do you get ideas for your characters?
From myself, like I said, how I wish I could be, traits and aspects of myself or personalities I find interesting and for my evil bastards, they're usually exaggerations on the type of people I dislike or characteristics I dislike.
Do you ever write based on your dreams?
I have plenty of ideas I've written down from my dreams, I just haven't gotten around to putting them to use yet. Mostly they're disturbing though.
Do you favor happy endings, sad endings or cliff-hangers?
It really depends on what it is I'm writing.
Have you ever written based on an artwork you've seen?
No, that's not a bad idea, though it just reminds of me this twisted and disturbing piece of writing by Stephen King called Rose Madder though… I take that back, I just lied, I wrote a piece for Logan based off of the poster I had that was by the late Michael Turner, I loved that man's artwork... RIP
Are you concerned with spelling and grammar as you write?
Depends on the mood, if I'm just in a hurry to get my thoughts down I'll go back to it and fix it all later, if I'm taking my time and my OCD is overactive, I'll stop and fix things.
Ever write anything in chatspeak (how r u?)
Usually not even when I'm chatting…
Entirely in L337?
No, I don't know enough and even if I did, I wouldn't.
Was that question appalling and unwriterly?
LOL, kinda
Does music help you write?
Sometimes it does, but if I'm really concentrating I have to have it quite and usually turn everything off.
Quote something you've written. Whatever pops into your head.
"Malachi had turned back to her, his head dipping down as he watched her, felt the change in her aura and he very gently reached out with his senses, not trying to push into her mind, but feel out, without intruding what it might be that was going on with her. He knew of her past, probably more then he should have and he knew well how some nights were indelibly etched into ones memories, even long after the shades mortality were washed away with the centuries. There were always those moments in time you carried with you, they shaped who you were and they were hard to let go of."
